Venom Foundation Launches Virtual Hackathon
The Venom Foundation has partnered with DoraHacks, Developer DAO, and Hacken to host its first virtual hackathon. The event is set to kick off on 8th of May 2023 and registrations begin on 27th April 2023. This is a significant development that follows the testnet launch earlier this week.
Hackathon Prizes & Incentives
The hackathon will provide developers with all the tools and resources necessary to build dApps on the Venom blockchain. Participants have the option of developing a project based on three tracks—(i) Web3, NFTs and Gaming, (ii) DeFi, (iii) Tools and Infrastructure. Those interested in applying can do so after the opening ceremony until 10th June 2023 where projects will be evaluated by a panel of judges such as Ex CIO Blackrock Peter Knez or Holochain co-founder David Atkinson who are also part of this initiative besides CTO Christopher Louis Tsu from Venom Technology himself who commented: “We’re thrilled to host this hackathon, as it will be a catalyst for innovation and creativity within the Venom ecosystem.“ while providing a prize pool worth $225 000 USD upon completion.
Testnet Launch Goals
The main goal behind launching testnets is promoting innovation within ecosystems while allowing developers an opportunity for testing out dApps before officially launching them for user experience purposes. It also serves as an incentive for developers to join in creating more decentralized applications (dApps).
